COVID Updates: CAP & King County
————————————————————————————————————————
Update: October 14, 2023
Masking at CAP will continue indefinitely: Please wear your mask at all times in the clinic
While Washington state lifted requirements for masks in hospitals and clinics starting next month, our clinic will NOT be changing our policies and masks are necessary for everyone in the clinic. We are doing our best to stay open and keep our practitioners and patients healthy and safe. Thank you for your cooperation.
Compared to earlier in the pandemic, we're in a much better place with COVID-19, but it hasn't gone away. Read on to hear Public Health Officer, Dr. Jeff Duchin’s thoughts on COVID-19 cases, vaccination, masking, and outlook in King County.

CAP’s double masking policy ends on March 12th. Washington's COVID-19 mask requirements will lift March 12 for schools, childcare facilities, grocery stores, bars, gyms, and other indoor venues. Healthcare facilities continue to necessitate mask wearing at all times. The use of a single mask inside the clinic is sufficient. In compliance with the governor’s proclamation 21-14.1, all staff members are fully vaccinated and boosted. More here: https://www.governor.wa.gov/VaccineMandateFAQ

CAP will continue to follow guidelines from the state Department of Health. We will only shut down the clinic again if we are advised to by our public health officials.
CAP continues to monitor the changing public health needs of our county and we anticipate following strict COVID protocols for the time being.
What we at CAP are continuing to do in response to the pandemic:
Requiring that everyone make an appointment for treatment (no walk-ins accepted at this time).
Continuing to open windows and run our high efficiency air purifiers in our clinics.
Asking everyone in the clinic to wear a mask at all times.
Asking anyone who is feeling unwell with new common COVID-19 symptoms to not enter the clinic.
Washing linens frequently.
What we at CAP are asking you to do:
If you feel sick, please stay home and take good care of yourself.
If you have had a known exposure to someone with COVID within the last 48 hours and are fully vaccinated (defined as being between 2 weeks and 3 months after your final shot), the CDC says you do NOT need to quarantine as long you are not feeling ill. If you are exposed and you are not fully vaccinated, please do not come into the clinic. If you had an acupuncture appointment within that window, please let us know.
If you have been traveling and are vaccinated, the CDC says you do NOT need to quarantine at home unless you are feeling ill. If you have been traveling and are not vaccinated, please quarantine at home for two weeks before coming into the clinic.
Even if you have already been vaccinated, please continue to wear a mask to your appointments.
Thank you for your continued diligence and commitment to ensuring the safety of all of our communities, staff, and patients. Schedule Here https://cap100.openacu.me/
